Clontarf Mini Blitz

Clontarf is Hosting a mini’s blitz this week end here are some of the best shots from yesterday.

A fantastic morning out thanks to a very good organisation; and many visiting teams:

Ballina, Blackrock, Boyne, Dundalk, Lansdowne, Navan, Old Belvedere, St Brigid, Seapoint, Suttonian, Terenure

There was some face painting , a kicking competition thanks to Ulster Bank Rugby too, and Rhyno had a stand  with clothing and balls.

Clontarf Old Belvedere AIL

A nice evening for a game between two Dublin rivals. Clontarf. A real tough game that saw Clontarf take the lead thanks to a Rob McGrath intercept and despite huge pressre never let go off it. Rob finishing of a good evening with a second try to seal the game. Old Belvedere never let go and scored a late try to get the losing bonus point. 20 – 14 for Clontarf

Clontarf Barbarians Game

A fantastic occasion in Castle Avenue and a display of great quality from both sides.

A special mention to the AIL Players getting a chance to shine with the Barbarrians: Ger Slattery (Young Munster) William Ryan (Cork Constitution) , Charlie Butterworth (Lansdowne), Philip O’Dwyer (old Belvedere) , Colm McMahon (St Mary’s College).

All the Players gave it all and With the smallest of Margin Clontarf Held on to a 1 point lead at the Death. Final Score 43 -42.

Thanks to the Baabaas for letting me in and Clontarf for a fantastic season.

Thanks to Nigel Owens for a great refereeing performance, to Andy Wood and Mike Ruddock for Getting these two teams to Play such a beautiful game. And to the all the Players For Playing to Such a good level.

Lastly Thanks to the Clontarf Mini rugby teams and Coaches for the halftime game.
