Clontarf Blackrock Under 20 Clontarf J1 UCD

Under 20’s Playing Blackrock in a thrilling game that saw Blackrock take the lead early in first half with ‘tarf mounting a strong come back to retake it. A strong  second half start saw rock retake the lead. Clontarf then scored 2 tries to again take the lead. Blackrock mounted a late challenge to attempt to steal the game at the death. Fortunately for ‘Tarf the las kick missed the target.

The score 22- 21

I missed the J1 first half but during the second half  J1 Layed  siege to UCD line most of the half to little reward. UCD caping the Half with a turnover try.

The Score 7 – 28

J1 Clontarf Lansdowne

The game started with a minute silence and a my thoughts go to Mr Foley’s Family and friends.

A come back to remember.

Lansdowne conceded the first penalty of the game but after that the game looked like there was one team in it and Lansdowne were that team.

After  the half time break there was more of the same and Lansdowne lead 30 -6. The home side were putting pressure without finding gaps  however Lansdowne were penalised often for offside. as it goes they were too often ofside and a  yellow was produced. After that the game changed and Clontarf began  their come back. It was thrilling and the pressure on Lansdowne was telling.

Both Team produced some thrilling rugby and it ended all square 33 -33 with a last penalty for ‘tarf at the end.

Cup in Donnybrook

Clontarf J1 Battled it out against Old Belvedere this afternoon.

Clontarf did not seem to have cold feet and playing against the  wind they ran from deep from the off after some dominance and an opening penalty by Rowan Considine.  Alex Denby Scored from a well caught lineout by Thomas Byrne.

Belvo reply with a penalty but could not make the Wind support pay. Clontarf scored another penalty before the half time break

The second half ended up being a runaway for Clontarf so I will only mention the final score 32 – 8 for Clontarf.
