Under age Clontarf report

Before and During the AIL final there was a whole raft of fixtures involving the Clontarf youth teams. I attended to the first half of the under 18 against the Vikings.

The results are very good for the club and highlight the work done by the many volunteer coaches. Well done to All.

Clontarf Ladies Greystones Ladies

Fine afternoon for a game of rugby in Castle avenue.

Clontarf Hosting Greystones.

The game started well for clontarf with 2 tries. The early lead was cancelled out by some nice play by Greystones backs as they levelled de score. Clontarf surged forward again for another try under the post and a successful conversion to regain the lead, Greystones once again scored this time under the posts and this was converted too. 17-17 at the break. The second half saw Greystones pull away with two converted tries. The Clontarf ladies did manage to score another try under the posts and convert however they could not overcome a resolute Greystones defence in the last moment of the game. Final score Greystones 31 -24 Clontarf a fine entertaining game.

Under twenties Clontarf Greystones

A playoff game in Clontarf to enter the JP Flannagan top section.

A game started very quickly by the host who capitalised on a mistake by Greystone from the kickoff. The early exchanges being in the hosts favour they kept the scoreboard ticking.

The second half saw Clontarf score more tries and a brief revival of Greystones who managed a score before Finally collapsing.

Final score 43-7
